Lenexa was named one of the ‘Best Places to Live’ as ranked by Money Magazine (annual ‘Best Places’ list). Lenexa was ranked 26 and praised for its festivals, business base, bioscience companies, job growth, and ratio of residents to jobs, among other things.
The Lake Lenexa Dam and Spillway received the U.S. Society of Dams 2009 Project of the Year Award.
The GIS Division received the “Special Achievement in GIS” award at the Environmental Systems Research Institute’s 29th Annual User Conference.
