You may register for our contest one of the following two ways.


Pre-Enrollment Process

The following winning head chefs will be allowed the right to pre-enroll in the contest prior to the April open registration. The original Founder’s of the contest. The original 12 teams from the first year of the contest that still compete. Winners of prior year KCBS sanctioned bbq contests in Kansas. Prior Grand Champions of the Great Lenexa BBQ Battle. The Head Chefs from the prior year contest who placed in the top ten of the seven different categories. The Head Chefs from the prior year contest who placed in the top 50 overall. Current 2008 Pre-Enrollment List.

Open Enrollment Process

Open enrollment for the Great Lenexa BBQ Battle, The Kansas State Championship is always held on the first Monday after the first Saturday of April. This year registration will be on Monday, April 7, 2008. We will open the doors of the Community Center at 6:00 a.m. and begin handing out pre-numbered registration tickets. Registration will start at 8:00 a.m. All mail-in registrations that are not on the pre-enrollment list received prior to Monday April 7, 2008, will be opened at 4:00 p.m. on Monday April 7, 2008.
