A permit is not required for garage and craft sales in residential areas as long as the following requirements are met:

No more than 2 sales events are allowed on the premises in any calendar year.

The duration of a sales event must not exceed 4 consecutive days.

Sales events must only occur during daylight hours.

Garage and craft sale signs are permitted if they meet the following requirements:

WHEN ALLOWED:
Signs must not be placed earlier than 5:00 P.M. the night before the sale and must be removed by the end of the sale.


SIZE:

Signs must not exceed 4 square feet in area and 4 feet in overall height.


LOCATION:

One sign may be placed at the location of the sale, and one sign may be placed on private property at a subdivision entrance or adjacent to the collector or arterial street intersection that is closest to the place of sale, only with permission of the property owner. No sign may be placed upon any public property, public utility pole or public right of way, and is not allowed within 15 feet of the paved portion of a street or within 20 feet of the pavement at an intersection.
